Most do.
I am against hunting as a sport. If you said, "I like deer meat, I think I will kill me a deer to eat" then that is acceptable as variety is good for diet etc.

If you say: I am motivated to hunt because I am inherently superior to deer then that is not okay. To get your jollies by eliminating a innocent deer is on the same plan as beating the hell out of a kid. Taking your own shortcomings out of defenseless beings make you a sick person.
Ok. We were arguing two different points then. I think it is safe to say that the latter description is somebody acting outside of their rational mind.

That's cool then. I haven't met a person yet that will admit that hunting is an actual sport (like football, basketball, etc)

Hunting for foodstuffs that are unable to be acquired elsewhere is perfectly okay.
But in response to those who say you have no right to kill an animal because you, the hunter, are in fact equal to the animal on a fundamental level are wrong. I am in very few ways equal to the animal, on the basis I stated earlier.

Is it voluntary?
Yes. People choose to make irrational decisions (financially) to recoup losses suffered elsewhere in their lives.

This point was galvanized when one day at Lowe's a customer's reason for returning a basket of items was because they felt bad about themselves and the ability to make purchasing (on credit nontheless) is so **** empowering that it lifted her spirits. Now that they no longer felt this way, they could safely return the items.

yet neither you nor the animal is entitled to life; there is no restriction on my right to kill either of you.

I also refuse to reply to Flip, because he is just too dam smart!
I am not smart at all. I wish people wouldn't say that about me.

I did not score a perfect score on SAT, ACT.

I did not get into Harvard or any other Ivy League school.

I did not get a 10,000 sign-on bonus with my current employer.

In all reality, I am a failure.

But that doesn't make taking part in an economic system voluntary. That was one example of how it is, but without, in some way, taking part in an economic system, how would one get ahold of things they were otherwise incapable of obtaining? I sure as hell know I can't hunt, build, cook, tailor, or farm in a way that would support my life. Therefore, I must take part in some sort of economic system to obtain the staples of life.

Depends if you mean minimal basic needs or the newest trends. I bought a pair of shoes today for about $3.00. I could afford a paid of $1,000 shoes but I don't care to make such impressions.
So you made a $3 investment into the economy rather than using snake's skin that you came into possesion of and manufactured on your own.
