I am not trying to be a jackass. I just do not understand. Why does a deer have to die as a result of a contest of you with yourself? To see if you can? Why don't once you get to the point where you could kill it, snap a photograph instead?
The hunt of capturing a great shot should be similar to that of shooting an animal dead.

If it is because you like deer. Then that is okay.

Yes, I do like deer. My family's diet consists of MUCH more wild game than store-bought meats.

Also, a redneck is actually a hard working individual. The term is actually from the people that work all day in the sun. Your neck will be sun-burned....thus you are a "redneck". It is actually an honor to be a REAL redneck. You know the meaning of a hard day's work.

didn't read pages 2-whatever, but all i seem to see is hunters saying "if you're not a vegetarian then you're a hypocrite"

i disagree with that.

first off, i don't hunt, but I really don't have any problem with hunters, if you for whatever unknown reason think it's fun to sit in a tree, or hide where the animal can't see you, then kill it by surprise, by all means do whatever you'd like. I just don't think there's any contest in it. That's like when you're walking next to someone, then run to the door before they get there and start saying "OMG I BEAT YOU HAHHA YOU ****". maybe if the other person knew there was a race going on, it'd be worth celebrating.

imo, until hunters start letting their presence be known, and actively chasing down the hunted, with the hunted well aware of our presence(sp?) and intent there is nothing celebrate. wow, good job, you killed an animal when you were hiding up in a tree, and he had no idea you were there. i hope you feel like a man now.

secondly, i don't see a problem with eating meat, and disagreeing with hunting. The bottom line is that hunters are killing innocent unaware animals for pleasure. If I own a slaughterhouse, and I'm breeding cows/chickens/pigs whatever for the purpose of killing them, then that is my right, as they are MY livestock and i'll do with them whatever I please. As soon as you breed deer, and let them out into the wild just so you can hunt them, you can start calling meateaters hypocritical, but until then it's apples and oranges.

go hunt a deer with a knife, while it's awake and running from you, and i'll tell you congratulations, but until then, you're nothing but an inferior race(physically) killing innocent animals with superior technology.
