Really? Think about it again!
To start, you have to acknowledge that all living beings want to stay alive, even natural "instincts" and impulses are designed to keep species alive. You eat to stay alive to have more sex. You have sex to keep a species alive and continuing.
My question... why?
What benefit is life from a cosmic perspective? If you are going to try to argue that subjectively developed consciousness is the reason I have unlimited reasons why you are wrong.
Taking into account:
the sheer improbability for the formation of life.
The diversity, complexity, and mass of life on earth.
And the absence of the same process theorized to have been responsible for life in most of the universe....
It is obvious that there is no subjective benefit for a being, once obtaining life, to sustain that life rather than die and return to simple matter, no different than the rest of the universe. What is the cause of the purpose that causes living things to fight for life? Life is the most UN-natural force in the universe.
If you truely believe evolution and chance are the reasons the universe exists, and there is no higher being, you cannot deny the fact that life is 100% purposeless.
