So since i've pretty much been keeping you updated about my attempt to go to Korea for a year, I didnt want to leave out the latest development.
I've sent off everything for my visa and booked a hostel for the week before the dorms open.

I didnt like sending my passport to be issued a visa but i had to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I hope i picked a good hostel. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

i still need the hostel to store my luggage.

Plus they'll pick me up from the airport for about $70. Expensive, but i honestly think it will be worthwhile so i don't have to try to navigate the the subway in a strange city carrying heavy bags after a 30 hour trip.

Especially after eating a bunch of Valium to sleep on the plane from Chicago to Tokyo.

Ho snapz! Leaving from chicago? O'hare I assume?

Have fun with that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif O'hare=teh sux0r

Yeah. I also figured it was worth getting a single room in the hostel for the first night.. and then just paying for a dorm bed the other 5 nights. That way i can just crash and remain dead after the long trip.

I'm not really pleased about the route, but if i wanted the school to reimburse me for the ticket, i had to use this stupid fukin' travel agent who couldnt get the same deals i could with the interwebz.

I wanted to go regional airport-Minneapolis-san fran-Seoul... so that the SF-Seoul part was on singapore air.. they rock.. but i'm stuck on united.. which sux and will necessitate a large dose of tranquilizers.

Yeah, that does sound pretty lame. Longest flight I've been on was ~6 hours. I couldn't imagine a flight from chicago to korea. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
