Nobody knows why Iran stopped their nuclear program. maybe they ran out of money to fund it. maybe something else distracted them from something that really doesn't matter (nobody's gonna drop a nuke anytime soon, no matter how savage the country or dictator). They might've thought it better to invest the nuclear program money into more conventional means of warfare like ya know, guns, tanks, etc. I think you're giving us too much credit and them not enough. I mean the SMART thing to do would always be to budget. Look at the US, falling deeper into debt because we're funding an endless war. Iraq's "saving" for their perfect opportunity to screw us is all.

I agree with you but I think sometimes we put ourselves in situations that we should never be in. If we dont make ourselves a threat to other countries we wont have to ever go into a war like we are currently doing.

What seems more likely? That they stopped because developing nuclear weapons because they ran out of money (when the price of oil was sky high), or they saw that we weren't too afraid to mash on a few sand castles.
