did the amps say the produced the same power or did you do the test at 1 specific volume level on your hu that you knew had the same output from each amp, dmm tested? Things that are louder ALWAYS sound better.

The more heat the amp produces the better. Good amps convert distortion into heat so that the signal that reaches the speaker is "clean":fyi:

Just look to see if it'll work with the rest of your system. Obviously, if it's in a car with a weak electrical system, you want to avoid current hogs. Get an idea of the internals, what's their quality like...is this going to last until I decide to get rid of it, or will it explode next week.

At least that's what I do.
