buy the nine.1 you cant go wrong, but if you can save up and cough up for the sundown, then the sundown is the best bet!!
They are like say 85%-90%. Well basically it draws more amps than the sundown or whatever amp to create the same power. It's 64% efficient, what are most class D mono amps efficiency ratings?
Yes it really is. The original question is just a matter of how much money the OP wants to spend.I see... well it must not be too bad, because I'm running a 100 amp ANL fuse and all my wiring is 4 gauge, and even when bumping really hard my lights barely dim at all, and I've never blown a fuse, and the amp barely gets warm. Whenever I get a new car I'm going to go with 0 ga., but until then what I have now works very well. But for $295 shipped, and a 5 year warranty, it's pretty hard to beat what the nine.1 offers.
The first time I drove at night with my system I hit a heavy bass note and thought I accidentally turned my lights off. But that was before any electrical work. Hopefully now it won't be as bad.at 1ohm its hard to not make your car lights dim. :x
My amp is at 1 ohm. I was just looking at the sundown website, and it seems their amps are rated at 14.4 volts, and the efficiency ratings are at 4 ohm, how much does the efficiency and THD change when dropping the impedance to 1 ohm.Yes it really is. What ohm load do you have on your amp?
When I had the NINe.1 I had a 200a alty, yellow top g34, and all the big 3 wiring required. Still dimmed. When I had switched to the Zapco 1100.1 I got absolutely no dimming at 4ohms.The first time I drove at night with my system I hit a heavy bass note and thought I accidentally turned my lights off. I'm not sure about the sundown, but I would guess maybe 5 or 10%.My amp is at 1 ohm. I was just looking at the sundown website, and it seems their amps are rated at 14.4 volts, and the efficiency ratings are at 4 ohm, how much does the efficiency change when dropping the impedance to 1 ohm.
160 amps.I'm not sure about the sundown, but I would guess maybe 5 or 10%.
Does anyone know what the internal fusing on the Sundown 1500 is?
Well that's a 4 ohms, which is a lot less strain on your electrical than 1 ohm. I still can't believe that it dimmed with all of that. When I had the NINe.1 I had a 200a alty, yellow top g34, and all the big 3 wiring required. Still dimmed. When I had switched to the Zapco 1100.1 I got absolutely no dimming at 4ohms.
