Why not the Nine.1?

I see... well it must not be too bad, because I'm running a 100 amp ANL fuse and all my wiring is 4 gauge, and even when bumping really hard my lights barely dim at all, and I've never blown a fuse, and the amp barely gets warm. Whenever I get a new car I'm going to go with 0 ga., but until then what I have now works very well. But for $295 shipped, and a 5 year warranty, it's pretty hard to beat what the nine.1 offers.

Yes it really is. The original question is just a matter of how much money the OP wants to spend.

What ohm load do you have on your amp?

My amp is at 1 ohm. I was just looking at the sundown website, and it seems their amps are rated at 14.4 volts, and the efficiency ratings are at 4 ohm, how much does the efficiency and THD change when dropping the impedance to 1 ohm.

Also, regarding my lights barely dimming, they did dim a bit more before I put a yellow top in, but that's also probably due to the fact I was still running a 6 year old stock battery, once I put the new battery in, barey any dimming is noticeable now. I also did the big 3 after I got the yellow top, but I haven't noticed much difference at all from doing that.

I remember when you sent your amp back the the factory, it benched over 1300 watts at 13.x volts, that is very good.

The first time I drove at night with my system I hit a heavy bass note and thought I accidentally turned my lights off. But that was before any electrical work. Hopefully now it won't be as bad.
When I had the NINe.1 I had a 200a alty, yellow top g34, and all the big 3 wiring required. Still dimmed. When I had switched to the Zapco 1100.1 I got absolutely no dimming at 4ohms.

I'm not sure about the sundown, but I would guess maybe 5 or 10%.

Does anyone know what the internal fusing on the Sundown 1500 is?

Well that's a 4 ohms, which is a lot less strain on your electrical than 1 ohm. I still can't believe that it dimmed with all of that.
