Why not the Nine.1?

both amps are good amps no doubt about it. The Sundownz is a killer amp at the price and so is the Nine.1. I honestly don't care who owns what as long as the products are good since most of what we buy is run by some douche bag in the upper brass somewhere along the line( ok i don't know of one in SI or Sundownz but...). I have thought about getting the 1500D but for me I honestly don't need it on my Mag. 1200rms is just right for it and even now I have my gains set one notch off of lowest setting and it is great on the sub. maybe if i get two 12's or BM's I may go with the sundown.

i currently am running an ed.nine1 and i love it, but only question i have is, does anyone know if their linkable? i cant find it on the website so i would guess no...

edit : yeah.. 2 year old thread...

I had a nine 1, its horribly as in clean power compared to the sundown. The nine 1 had power supply problem after 1 year and so I upgraded to a sundown knowing very little about it , but now I"m a believer! 0 gauge connections! efficient!, more power!, Looks alot better! Its been a year and still going strong as hell

It has two phone cord plugs.
Yes, one phone cord to connect the knob to the amp, and I believe the other cord is so that the second amps gets the same level control from the bass knob. I could be wrong, but from all my reading on the elemental designs forum, I've never heard anyone mention the second RJ-11 connection is for strapping the amps.

I have yet to see one that is really difficult.

Ours for example... basically the same thing but it uses an RCA cable - doesn't even need a switch.

Presumably the speaker wiring on the NINE.1 is just like ours with the negatives connected together and the master controlling + and slave controlling -

sundown can be dropped to .5 and still be warrantied. Not sure if nine1 would offer a warranty at .5ohm
problems with preorders so i hear, and also some other issues in past.
I agree with what many have said.

If you have the cash go with sundown, the are made to last and also provide what ever you needs be. both sq and spl, efficient, and lots lots of power, not to mention .5 ohm warrentied.

If you can't afford then save, or go with a good amp, the nine.1. It has had lots of success. not many problems, and still provides just the right amount of output for the mag. But me personally i would get the sundown because if you have the cash for a high quality sub, get a high quality amp, then your set for quite some time

I thought Jacob stopped warrantying under .7 ohms?

Customers lose free replacement under 1 ohm nominal (0.7 DCR).

If they do blow a power supply in a 1500D they can still get a replacement for $30 as long as their amp is in good physical condition - it is pro-rated up for poor condition amps.

2000+ watt amps are $50 for the same deal.
