Why is it so hard to find a vehicle?

In the Vegas area. Everyone owns junk bullshit, and I'm not buying new.
No, I don't want your rust bucket toyota pickup for $8900. I don't give a shit if it's got a lift and 35's.

No, I don't want your honda with the sun faded roof/hood/trunk because you can't take care of your shit. And I'm for **** sure not giving you $6k for a honda with 215K miles, anyways.

No, I don't want your project firebird with four different kind of wheels on it for $4500.

Shit, son.
I've been having the same problem with vintage motorcycles, though it's getting better...there's the "it ran fine 4 years ago when I started it last", the "needs minor work" means it needs to be completely rebuilt, the people who think that chopper-izing Triumphs actually looks cool, and my favorite, people that have no legal history for what they have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Um, you were the one commenting on my wheels. So, apparently you got misconstrued again.
And no one is putting their foot anywhere near my mouth. You're on the internet. Please refrain from making pointless comments.

Of all the things to bring up, you bring up my commenting on others 'rides?' Please, you don't want comments, then you don't post on the internet. I commented on how I didn't like a particular bodystyle, and you come out of the woodwork (a day later, I might add...) like some kind of 'Capt'n Sav-a-car'
Maybe you are just bipolar, and I should really leave you alone. You had so much to say about other people's vehicles, but when someone gives you a hard time, you start whinning.

Just about every post you have made that I have seen today has been pointless besides bashing others.

Also, take your own advice and don't post on the interweb if you don't want others making comments about something you may have posted.

I wish I could begin to count how many times I have heard "well, I don't have the title..."

Although, there were a few promising hits as far as projects are concerned:

Turns out it seriously only needs bodywork and paint. He has all the interior ready to be reinstalled.

Just stop posting.

On another note, stop making useless threads about your unsuccessful attempts at finding a vehicle. Nobody is going to sell you a vehicle in perfect condition for less than what they think is fair value. You on the other hand, are the one with the purchasing power, if you don't like someone's price, move on to the next seller.

It's very interesting that others have posted in this 'useless' thread regarding their similar issues.

If you're going to hunt down useless threads, start with every other thread in the lounge.

You're starting to sound like you want to police these forums.

And I don't expect a ****ing bargin, and never said so. I just said I wasn't paying $8500 for a rust bucket. I am willing to pay a fair price, for a vehicle in good shape. I don't expect a rolls royce for the price of a honda, and never did I say I was hunting that elusive creature.

You're misconstrued, once again.

$3500. But no air or heat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif And no paint.

But if someone wants a slick truckin' project that's already half way done for cheeeaaaaap... I bet you'd pay more just for the suspension and the labor.

Hahaha. I was just at an auction all day. Saw maybe 200 vehicles go across the block, some of the service trucks my dad was interested in went for rather high dollars, but some of the half ton trucks went for ok prices, some went really cheap, varying on year and mileage, engine and transmission etc.

But ****, Vegas is worse than where I'm at. I've found Toyotas expensive here too, but you can pick up projet camaros for like $1-2000 and they have drag lites and slicks with traction bars, and be all one color..

Maybe you could buy out of state? My buddys parrents bougth an 05 Denali outta Peoria, AZ, (we're about 12 hours driving time from AZ IIRC) maybe you could get a car from neighboring states ( don't know much about the American geography and layout, too many states for me to remember, I failed the USA unit in school..)

I appologize, I'm currently looking through them. Some good finds in there. Thanks.
no problem bro, im not sure your price range or what you are looking for (hopped on the thread a little late, and didnt wanna read all the posts), but i can vouch for VWs and Audi for being awesome cars!

I've tinkered around with some MK4 GTI's before. I'm fond of the 1.8t engine. Although the VR6's are torque-y little bastards.

Never owned an audi though, that would be something new.

And the budget really depends on the vehicle. If I can justify spending the money on it because of it's value and condition, then I have no worries. I just don't want to spend $10k and buy a $8k car.

yea, i know what you mean... i have an audi and i LOVE it to death!! 203K miles on it, and running strong! not to mention the non- american cars are going to hold their value better due to the US economy....

Out of curiousity, what model/year?
