I'm digging the project Lincoln you posted. That would be a badass car to tool around in. Nice gloss black with the old school hubbies and white walls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
What sort of car are you leaning towards?
The S80 is a strong possibility! Affordable, decent gas milage, power on tap and looks to be a size that she won't feel uncomfortable in.Audi and Volvo look good, and the VW is meh to me, but the last Eclispe is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
What the fawk were they thinking! I betcha that thang places 1st everytime!
If the three blind mice were judging it.
I've always liked the Saab 9-3 Aero X. Can be found for around $10K in good condition and they have AWD. Don't look too shabby either.Yes. If I didn't already have too many toys, I would have already snatched it up. It is fit to be a daily in its current condition, but I'd want to sit it somewhere and spend some time finishing her.
If it was for me, I'd want something I could Prerunner style at a later date, like a Ranger. It needs to be something she can drive comfortably too, though...
So, I was looking for AWD cars/wagons(pretty much limits me to Subby) and maybe mid sized RWD's. Nothing that I am going to want to spend a lot of money on. I'll be a sucker if I even put new wheels/tires on it.
I'm open to sugguestions, in all honesty.
K for sure, just tell her it will be fully services before sale. ( I'll even give documentation from our shop that it's in the best condition it can be)The lady of the house hasn't given me a yes/no on it yet. The old 'I'll sleep on it' was used.
Can you wait until after you have bought your house? Buying the car first may make a difference in the interest rate on your house, depending on your circumstances. My liquid assets would cover a decent vehicle off the lot, but I'm house hunting as well, so I have to take the downpayment into consideration as well.
I'd rather buy something used that's not abused, then scrimp on my housing.
Unfortunantly, no.Can you wait until after you have bought your house? Buying the car first may make a difference in the interest rate on your house, depending on your circumstances.
