its funny how you guys trash on the GED whenever its so easy to cheat your way through HS. Taking the GED and successfully completing it in one pass shows the world that you learned what you need to know, without cheating. Besides most places don't care if you have a HS diploma or a GED its what you do after that?

really, ever try for a real governement job? how about an education job? some places want to know where and what you did in school in order to determine your leadership skills. here i am 10 years out of high school and still get asked about what i did then. some people ask why i graduated within the top 5 in my class of 500 and was not in honor society.

i never fit with that crowd and hung out with my people from the hood, yes a real hood not some trailer white boy livin in the country thinkin he was gangsta because of his musical tastes.

i just happened to be intelligent...it still matters today.

It really sucks how much a lack of intelligence is a turn off for me.

that it does. Diploma or GED don't matter. They can still get transcript showing grades, then they will have a better understanding of why you dropped out of HS to start college early??? Of course most of the people dropping out takes several attemps to pass the GED due to lack of intelligence. But it isn't all that bad.

dropping out early also shows a lack for structure in a workplace. speaking from a management point of view it means that person is more likely to attempt to go home early or not work towards the end of the day.

you obviously have never had a real job nor ever had to make any executive decisions. why would i want to allow someone a position who couldn't finish high school properly or in most cases probably couldn't pass a standardized test?

see, you dont know what an employer is really looking for. well, maybe you do, but flipping burgers is probably the best you have been offered.

as far as structure goes your correct, but again what did they do after getting their GED, flip burgers at Mcdonalds or move onto to college...early??

again, the majority of "dropouts" are unintelligent, idiots, lazy, whatever else you wanna put here, but there are some that find HS as unmotivational. Puplic schooling to me was......really a waste. Teachers didn't care to much just as longed as you passed at the end of the year so they could prove to the state that they were doing there job. Hell i had a teacher offer me an A just to speak up more in class!! How the hell is that educational. "Here you go, speak up in class to make it seem like i am teaching and you'll get an A."

Oh and i am not interested in a real government job or a job in education.

i live in a trailer cause we lost our house in katrina,not to mention we lost everything.we got verly little help and the help we did get went to my mom getting surgery cause she has cancer and we are currently building a house its hard to start over when you have no vehicles and no house.and dropping out early was stupid but i still did something good enough diploma and i enrolled in jc because im waiting to see if i make it in the apprentice program which is gonna put me through school if not then im enrolled in jc so i can do that.
