I like Car Audio because it keeps me busy-- gives me something something to do and look forward to (like my ESK 165's that're coming Thursday hopefully //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) It also gives me a chance to learn more about my car and the inner workings of it. (The best thing I've ever done is install my alarm. I learned A LOT about my car's wiring through that.)

I also like to think about the science behind the music. How all of the magnets work in a beautiful synchronization to disrupt the air so beautiful and tickle my ear-drums. How each driver is given a certain frequency every millisecond and how it keeps up-- and the massive amount of air that's being wh0red around my car daily.

... and it gets the b!tchz. A girl sat in my car once and I turned on some bassy stuff and her jaw dropped... mine did the opposite and I smiled big //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Makes me feel good, basically.

I never realized how empty music sounded without a subwoofer.
I like my music loud, not loud and distorted.

And honestly, I like the ability to be a jackass every once in awhile, when the oportune moment strikes. When that Civic pulls up with the P2's in a sealed box, it's on.

becasue my car is automatic so it wont handle turbo upgrades and i cant afford air ride or $2000 rims so i went car audio.

It just eats your bank account in smaller doses...in most cases anyway. It usually goes something like: Sweet! I bought a sub...and a box...now I need an amp...now I need power wire....then RCAs...and on and on...

Funny, I hardly ever think twice about spending more money on the stereo though - home or mobile.

Plus I drive alot too and I figure why not listen to great music the way is was meant to be heard. And music really does sound empty without subs.

Truthfully, I sometimes wonder what my obsession with car audio is all about... Why do I get pleasure from obnoxiously loud, breath taking bass? I cant tell you, but it makes my pee pee feel warm. That is all.

Used to be because I liked to feel the bass on my nutz!

Now I am into more SQ oriented setups and trying to get mine there, but I believe it is harder to achieve SQ than the big SPL setups I have done back in the day.

I also love music, but I am getting older and I still debate with myself wheather I should get out of it or not. Sure fire sign, that I am old!
