Actually there are shows that have the same balls as this one did. Family Guy for one really pushes the envelope. There are others but what made All in the Family so groundbreaking was that society in America was very uptight back then and the show really caught everyone by surprise which is what made it such a hit. Great show though. I also liked Caroll O'Connor in that show "In the Heat of the Night" where he was a police chief.Man, I wish shows nowadays would have the same amount of balls this one had:![]()

Agreed, thats pretty much what I was trying to get across. You also have to factor in that back then you had about 4 or 5 choices for channels back then and now you have over 200 channels to choose from.It was much more significant back then though, I dont know what you would have to do to get attention on TV these days, geez there is only 6 words you cant say on TV, thats it.
