You must not have been paying attention then.....the whole city of Pittsburgh and the whole team were on HIS side. He came back on his own BEFORE they had a new contract in place because he couldn't stand watching his team playing without him....NOT something a person who only cares about money would do. He just wanted to make sure he was going to be a Steeler for his whole career. Oh and if you think Rod Smith doesn't care about contract or money you're high on some real good crack and you need to share with the group. I'll agree Rod Smith is really good, steady receiver but he is NO Hines Ward. You can't measure blocking with stats, nor can you measure team leadership with stats. Stats are for individuals.....wins and losses are what really count. I also fail to see how he is MORE consistent than Ward.
