Who run 8's? what are you TL numberS?

The older E8 models can handle about 200 each, I know people have given more to them daily but mine move pretty good and, to me, sound a little maxed out with me giving them 250 each. I'll be throwing about 350 to each pretty soon and see if I get any gains out of it.

huh? you don't make sense. if you are giving them 250 and they sound a little maxed out what could you possibly gain from giving them 100 more? is your goal to make them sound even worse than they do now?

They sound maxed out, doesn't mean they are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. That's why I like experimenting so that I know for sure and see what I can get out of them. And they definitely don't sound bad at all, they sound phenomenal actually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my two ss rli-8's sounded awesome and got nice and low off 1000w
**** i wish they still made em so I could run 4
I was actually talking to Mike to see if Soundsplinter would be getting anything back in stock ever again and he said that he has a production order underway and he is hoping to have some RL-i8's and RL-p18's in by some time in November. I enjoy being the bearer of good news. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The X8 isn't out yet but when it does come out, Sundown, said it should be able to handle 4-500 watts daily and about 1000 for burps. i was going to mention in the other thread but I think 250wrms might be a little too much for the e8s in the enclosure you are using since it's a lot larger than recommended. if you give them more juice you might start to experience mechanical noise. build a smaller box and you can throw more power to them.

oh and i hit a 137.6 with two e8s in a t-line in a reg cab ranger:

Nice! You know I actually built the box bigger on purpose to foreshadow getting the new sundown 8's that they're coming out with, figured they'd need a little more space and if they don't then I build a smaller one. I did almost forget about that if the box is a little bigger then use a little less wattage so maybe throwing anymore at them won't be a great idea for now.

Your box is big *** hell. OMG.

Edit. With 2 E8's in 1.26 tuned to 33 on a Brand X 4 Channel i did a 133 with truck running and 131.8 with it off.

My normal set-up is 3 E8's on a SAE-1200D in 1.26 tuned to 33 and i will have TL numbers for that on the 13th.

All this in a standard cab truck.

If i can get anymore E8's or find something else i might try to run 6 sealed and see what i can do. Or cram a 4th one into my box now.
