This thread is really about the perceived bias against well known companies.

Sell out?

Not a sell out?

Overpriced?

Not overpriced?

Just a name, or more than that?

Who's to say either way. From what I understand, there is a company that was going under because they were making a great product, but selling this product at too low a price for the them to survive. Whatever their reasons for doing this, it's just not fiscally responsible.

They made a great driver and sold it below market value, made all of us forum members happy, but run out of "operating revenue". That's great isnt it?

They make a great driver raise the prices up , & they end up being JL (in the eyes of the forum). Dont like that either do you?

This forum is, like it or not, the general public.

They made one bad business decision, they never should have been in this kind of situation in the first place----------high overhead-----not enough revenue to cover the overhead=no profit. None of us would run our companies that way.

They should have had a better business plan. I wish they would have jacked up the prices (not to screw anyone) and become what every good business wants to be. Successful (so we could treat them like we treat JL)- Have a good product or service, meet their cutomers needs, and turn a freakin profit. Unless you have some vested interest in the company move on. Move on to the next "BIG THING" as we always have, and will

The only other people who have a right to complain are the investors, & the little guys , i.e. dealers who were selling their product, and marketing to people who really have a clue.

Tell me, who's the sell out. Is JL a sell out, is company X a sell out?

Quit *****ing about a company doing what companies do. Try to make a profit.

***** when these companies screw over someone with a vested interest. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

******?

i own a JL sub..but still i define sellout company as one that raises its prices because it can, yes when a company does this it brings in more money and that is the point of business, hell if i owned a company and i could raise my prices i would to, it just ***** that things cost huge amounts over production price

but then again thats life and there is nothing we can do about it except support a smaller company making quality gear, until of course that company gets big enough then the publics demand becomes high enough to lose a few customers and keep a few as long as those that are kept will pay 700 for a sub that was 300 before
