Who knows their BMW's??

The maintenance on the BMW is not all that bad if you know where to get parts and have a good mechanic. Especially with a 3-series since there are so many on the road. If you were to totally alien to both cars, and someone pulled the badges off the car and you drove them back to back, the 328i would really stand out. We have not had issues with reliability. Most issues, from what I have seen, usually come from the models that are heavily laden with electrical gizmo's, and mostly the 7-series. A manual 3-series is one of the better all around, reasonably priced cars on the road. And the combination of the manual with their super smooth I-6's is excellent. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes, the insurance is a little higher, but they do hold their value well, and have a much better sporting nature then the Honda. And yes, we owned both a Honda and the BMW at the same time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
There is no way you can say the BMW holds its value better than a Honda. Honda's have the highest resale value. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

True, but Honda's offer little to no help in the pursuit of the elusive N. American Beaver.

I don't think so. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

All I am getting at is that is a 3 and 5 series, even a few years old if taken car of well, can be an excellent choice and not as expensive over all as some might think. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would have chosen the BMW over the Accord if it were the 335. I would feel like I was settling if I got a 328. 335= //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif

Difficult decision. Both are reliable. Are you going off of status or is there another reason?
I own a BMW and love it. I have 225,000 miles on mine and still runs great

Yep. Learning to DIY and knowing where to buy parts online is the key.
