Who has experience with skar subs?

Sounds great you are doing a wonderful job displaying the arrogance that surrounds car audio as a whole and why no one will ever respect it in general.
Please stay on the OP's original topic. But sorry that I am looking out for a fellow boomer over letting a greedy company screw them.

I got 2 vvx 15 bstock and is very happy with them, the only thing wrong was little paint on the rubber boot.

my box sixe is 2.76cu per sub, if you run 2cu on your vvx12 you should be good spec is 1.5 - 2cu on ported

^^Bingo.^^ Sundown makes some nice subs along with DD, American Bass, Incriminator, AudioQue/Sound Qubed and DC subs are ok depending on what your looking to do with them. OP, ive been hearing a lot of stories about b-stock subs getting sent out and QC missing faulty subs in orders that were sent out to customers and much more about faulty subs.

How was that Maliboom?

http://www.caraudio.com/forums/thunderdome-forum-members-only/548478-discrepancies-skar-audio.html here the thread about the company.as for the subs, for the most part, they are similar to Sundown sa series, with lesser soft parts. find another company man.
^and u look just as stupid^

Instead of bandwagon hopping, why did you not just simply answer the OP's question about the box requirements for two Skar vvx12's?
bandwagon never would have originated if there wasnt a problem to begin with. OP even stated his box wasnt good. what i said was pretty much true. Jacob basically designed the VVX line for your asspal, they are similar to the SA line, just with lesser soft parts. i didnt lie, an SA12 will take more power than an VVX 12 hands down.
OK... Kevin=Shady.. cool, I think thats covered. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/reposthorse.gif.368c1dbb9d02cacf5006b3ed421cde0e.gif Lets bet a dead horse for another 2000 post thread:rolleyes: Ironically Boomin, you complain that Maliboom should stay "On the op's topic" and you have yet to give ANY advice to help him with his problem..

BTW, he wanted to know about the sub enclosure... NOT the subs. ******* 'tards

Put the subs in a sealed box and run them on a meter so you can find the tuning of the vehicle. Then build sub box according to your liking off of the vehicles tuning.

BAM!

Well say metering them wasn't an option. What's a better alternative.

The single 12 box I have now is decent but I just want it to get louder move more air and get lower. I'm sure adding another sub or two and having a box designed would do the trick

Any other suggestions.

you can have an answer to that prayer by just putting that sub in a ported box without upgrading subs. But if you wanted to add more subs or change out, still, put them in a ported box so you can get the affect you want/described

If you are doing doing a common chamber enclosure you could slim down the space a little but it also depends on your overall goal and what you want to improve on from what you currently have.
I want it to hit the lows better and also move more air and be louder. The box I have now is loud and all for a single 12 but it doesn't hit the ultra lows like I'd like under 30hz.

I'm not sure of benefits of a larger box. Can a box with less airspace still be tuned to the low 30s and still sound as good as a bigger box.

I'd also really like to run 3 12s but I'm not sure if I can fit it. Here are the dimensions I an work with.

39wX17hX25d.

I can go a little bit more on the depth I suppose but I'd have to remeasure it. Off the top if my head I'd guess I can do a 30 inch depth.

You got a hold of Robin right?

You should be able to run 3 in there with out much issues really.

As for fixing what you have, we would need the specs of the current enclosure to see what can be improved upon for you.

I have tons of experience with them. I built this enclosure recently, and the recipient is very happy with it.

1 single 12" vvx do a 1.7-2Cube net box, tune to 28-34 hz... 2 12" vvx do 3.4-4Cube net box same tuning.. 3-4" slot port or a single 6 to 8" tube port should do it..
Also Check with @Buck or @RAM_Designs or any of the other designers on here to design you a box to what you want plan and simple...

I've ran the VVX in A Slot port tuned to 34hz 1.7cube net... loves the lows and sounds pretty good..
Also ran it in 2 different 4th orders where it really just shined... 1st one was a 1.2 or .4 sealed 2.6 ported tuned to 42hz / 2nd was 1.5 sealed 3.5 ported tuned to 28hz... murdered everything from 20hz to 40hz .. the 1st one shined from 30-50hz
