Looking at getting a box built for 2 vvx 12s. What tuning and airspace do they like best. I've been told 2 cubes of airspace at 32 hz. But do you guys have any better recommendations.

Il be running a cadence dca1600 at 1 ohm for 1600 watts. On stock power with big 3. The car is a 2000 Buick lesabre.

http://www.caraudio.com/forums/thunderdome-forum-members-only/548478-discrepancies-skar-audio.html here the thread about the company.

as for the subs, for the most part, they are similar to Sundown sa series, with lesser soft parts. find another company man.

And like disturbed posted, 2 cubes per at 30hz is where I would go with them.

These subs were built for the lower tuning preferred bassheads like me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If you have any questions regarding the product just shoot me an email boss

he already has the subs, his business practices may be sketchy but that has nothing to do with the product, they arent bad subs or great subs, just answer a technical question without bringing politics and unnecessary opinions into it

I know about the "controversy" with skar I don't really care the guy Kevin took care of me. I wasn't blown away by the box he made me but i guess that's subjective.

Anyway I want more bass and I'm very happy with my skArs. Please try and keep this on topic I don't really care.

^and u look just as stupid^

Instead of bandwagon hopping, why did you not just simply answer the OP's question about the box requirements for two Skar vvx12's?
^^Bingo.^^ Sundown makes some nice subs along with DD, American Bass, Incriminator, AudioQue/Sound Qubed and DC subs are ok depending on what your looking to do with them. OP, ive been hearing a lot of stories about b-stock subs getting sent out and QC missing faulty subs in orders that were sent out to customers and much more about faulty subs.

How was that Maliboom?

If you are doing doing a common chamber enclosure you could slim down the space a little but it also depends on your overall goal and what you want to improve on from what you currently have.

Typical response.....continue riding that bandwagon you are only making yourself look stupid...
bandwagon never would have originated if there wasnt a problem to begin with. OP even stated his box wasnt good. what i said was pretty much true. Jacob basically designed the VVX line for your asspal, they are similar to the SA line, just with lesser soft parts. i didnt lie, an SA12 will take more power than an VVX 12 hands down.

Sounds great you are doing a wonderful job displaying the arrogance that surrounds car audio as a whole and why no one will ever respect it in general.

if youre strictly going to be running 1600ish rms to the pair, id reccomend going a little larger than ideal, and have a big port. this will allow less air resistance for the subs, although decreasing power handling, increasing output. you can also resin the internals, along with run aero ports to try and gain as much efficiency as possible.
