Sundown Audio E12 Subwoofer 400W E SERIES Peak?

Why does it matter?
It matters because I'm trying to choose the wattage for an amp that would carry these easily. I imagine the peak would be around 800' date=' for most subwoofers, the peak is specified but I cannot locate the info on these.

It doesnt matter cuz you never look at peak when trying to figure out how much power to use... Get something thats making at least 1000rms

Thanks. By the way' date='

I have no idea why the link I posted says E8. The question I have specifically dealt with the E12's. The link provided takes you to the E12's.[/b']

Pretty sure the e series have been burped on at least 2k numerous times with 0 failures. That means they will work on 95% of the amps out there.
You were the one who really got on me for settling for the Kickers, after doing one hour+ research I realize why. It's all coming to me very fast though I am just a novice because I have been studying the hell out of car audio lately. I may get the Sundown SA12's, but only because they are likely to produce a deeper higher quality resonate bass without pushing them as hard as the E12's. I don't think I could go harder than 400+ watt's per sub, because my head feels like it's about to get kicked off (with the 400Rms Comp Cv'rs running at around 250Rms per 12" sub), it's really about quality for me at this point. Thanks again.

You can push pretty much any Sundown sub over its RMS a little bit easy... It is completely box dependent however...

Does anyone have the specs on what the port should be tuned to: Sundown Sa12's 600W vs. Sundown E12's 400W?

What are the specs on proper enclosures for Sundown Sa12's 600W and Sundown E12's 400W. Anyone have that info.

If a pair of cvrs on 500 watts a pair is too much, a pair of e series on 700-800 watts in the proper enclosure should be plenty. Or even a single SA 12 on 600-800 watts would probably work well for you.

We do not use peak ratings on any of our products as these ratings are usually not derived from anything real.

I have burped ~5-10x the RMS rating on every subwoofer line we make personally.

We even burped a NeoPro-8 a few weeks back for kicks... 139.9 dB on the dash; no clamp was involved but we had an NS-1 @ 4 ohms on it.

If you check our web-site product pages enclosure suggestions are in a drop down tab.

They both will like a pretty similar enclosure really... How much room do you have? For a proper ported box for 2 12's you will need close to 5 cubes...
@Bettr n&\#39; Revrse
I measured the box I have in there now. It's 36" length x 16" deep x approximately 13" in height. I could fit two (of those) in my trunk.
Sundowns use smaller enclosures, could you give me some general specifications on boxes for two E-series 12"s and two SSA12''s?
