Who else thinks their system isn't as loud as when they first heard it?

I always turn mine down as im pulling in, like let the batteries charge for a mile or two. really helps. My batt is in the trunk stock on my daily and that helps. but I think my shiz hits harder in the winter for sure, plus your amps dont get hot as easy :p

yup, its an industry conspiracy to keep us upgrading!!!! I ve had atleast 30 different setups that sound great on initial tests, then after a week or 2, im like, WHERE'D THE BASS GO??????. good luck, keep upgrading until you retire from bass.

One of the most accurate posts I've read on this forum.

i thought winter was bad for coils or something? like the temp change was bad for it i think i was told is that wrong?
i would think that at a certain temp going toward really cold could be bad makes sense , but not sure what that is

probably for the soft parts i would think as well

ya here in MI ive seen it go down to as low as -12 on a cold winter morning not even counting wind chill so i was thinking about taking my system out or buying winter subs pretty soon here. unless someone can give me a good answer on why it doesnt matter or if it really is bad for them

you can use your subs in -12 below , put chains on your amps and salt on the dust caps

-12 is like ice road trucker cold

things could get brittle i would imagine

coils heat up and cool down by hundreds of degrees all the time. The extra 60 degrees colder it gets in winter really doesn't effect the coils at all lol, it's cold by human standards, machines, not so much. Alot of spiders are made of textile materials, do you worry about your clothes cracking when it's 15 degrees outside? "Oh no the wind blew my shirt around and it was too cold, now it's cracked" lol. Computers are electronics are often kept at supecool temps when performance is an issue. Heat is hard on speakers, from blowing coils to melting amps. Also, air density increases in colder temps so things are louder as a result. Cold weather is good for audio.
