Hey guys my buddy's got 2 RE8" RMS is 175W and max is 250W these are DVC's @ 4ohm just wondering how i should wire these as well as what amp is good... as far as wiring it looks like i am left with an impedance of 1 ohm or 4 ohm is that correct ... thanks

Yes.

Just look for an amp that does ~400w into either a 1ohm or 4ohm load. You can look for either a mono amp (which will likely do it's power into a 1ohm load) or a 2-channel amp and bridge it (that will do the power into a 4ohm load bridged).

would work just watch the gains on the amp

thanks guys, squeak (or anyone else that knows) a quick question to u so getting a two channel that has say 230W @ 2 ohms is the same as 460 bridged @ 4 ohms am i correct... this means that each sub (there is two) is gettin 230 watts correct? thanks
