Which way should your subwoofers face?

I was watching a few videos online today and I notice some popular channels (exo and ect) had their subs facing in with the magnet inside the box facing the trunk and the cone towards the driver. Other videos had the cone facing the trunk with the magnet in the box facing the driver. Is their a difference in SQ/SPL with how you face them or is it just personal preference?

Just looks or if the box isn't deep enough

It can save some airspace which can be helpfully depending on how much the woofer takes up

every installation is different. sometimes loading the cone helps sometimes it doesn't something facing rear 4 inches from the back facing back is loudest sometimes all the way against the trunk it loudest.. what sounds loud more than likely won't meter loud.
