which to use,Optima or regular battery??

Just use a reg battery..

I have had them all, blue tops, Yellows, reds, stingers,

Now I just pick up AutoZone run of the Mills DuraGold batteries..

They work fine..

agreed plus there are saftey issues. back in 1991 i had a napa marine battery in the back of a 85 escort after the winter there was a nice "mess" on the hatch area floor.
