which subs

Just bought a Hifonics BX1605D and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good sub for this amp.........12 or15......The sub will be going in a 01 camaro....I am on a pretty tight budget and new to all this...So i dont know about 1 ohm 2ohm etc etc...........Just some suggestions with budget in mind would be nice...Thanks

ok would 1 15 sound good with this amp.or go with 2 12's........say around 300 or less on speakers....the more less the better

a good 15" sub or 2 12's for less than $300 is gonna be a tough find.

yeah for sure, for 215 bucks that is hard to beat.

i just orderd a 2 ohm 12'' type R that will be run off the bxi 1206d, should pound

Get a 15" l5, CVX, or L7, all these you could get them under 250 at ebay, i have one of those amps with a 4 ohm L7 wired at 2 ohm to get 1100 rms @ 2ohm and it sounds hardcore!!!!

but if you are looking for something cheaper maybe the L5, tough i think 1100rms is a lil too much for the l5.

get a 4 ohm l7 so you can wire it at 2 ohm load, cuz at 1 ohm is juss too much power for teh l7 or type-r i do believe since its 1600rms and with 1100 rms at 2 ohms it should bang pretty loud.

depends what you get, but i dont think you will be getting 1600 watts outa that amp. just get a 2 ohm dvc and be careful when to turn it up.

well the 12'' is the swr 1222d and the 15'' is swr 1522d. just look them up at ebay, the 12'' is 130 and the 15'' i believe is 215.

if you have the room get the 15'', you need about 6 cubes gross. the 12'' you need no more than 4 cubes gross of room. i have plans for a box for the 12'' type R if you need them.
