any other subs in the $200-275 range?? i haven't picked an amp yet, so it will also be in the $200-250 range.............thanks for the help.

I'm sad to hear your getting rid of the 2000SPL's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Id buy them from you if I had the money right now. I plan on getting two more of the SPL's someday and another amp to power them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

4 2000SPL's in the back of a station wagon would be sweet

UPDATE!!he just offered me $200 for my amp as soon as he sells his power acoustik to someone else........im gonna sell the 2000's for $200, thats a pretty good price isn't it?

1. i'll be using a sealed enclosure of a weird shape (in the rear well of a 90 camaro)

2. i'm looking for mainly an sq sub (like 70sq/30spl), because with the hatch it's gonna be plenty loud for me.

3. i've never heard the eclipse subs, but i've never heard a bad thing about them, i'm getting out of the "high school kid with 2 12's" kind of thing if that makes any sense. Hardly anyone around here really into car audio has a single sub setup. I don't show off as much as i used to in town and such, i drive to work and school, so i want something thats going to sound good to me, while also providing me with the thump when i want it.

ok so far i like the eclipse alum's (around 210 + shipping), the rlp (around 260 shipped), the RE SX (around 250+shipping i think), i think for an amp i'll be using either the orion 1200d refurb (209+shipping) or a refurbished directed 1500d (155+shipping)

which of these subs would give me the most spl?the rlp would prolly give me the best sq right?how does the rlp compare to the alums spl/sq wise?sorry for the long post, thanks again for all the help.

The eclipse would probly be the best for sq but will probly have the least spl. If u could find a titanium for your budget then u would be getting a good sql sub but they will be hard to find for that price im not sure but if im remembering right i found a new 12 titanium for like 280 on ebay.

Well, the Eclipse Alums are the the TC Sounds TC7. The Rl-p is the TC Sounds TC9. As you can guess by the nomenclature, the Rl-p is a little higher on the food chain than the Alum.

I had 4 of the Eclipse 88120 series (original Alums) back about 4 years ago. Excellent woofers. Appear to still be equivalent and pretty much the same as the Alums you linked to. Great sound quality and very good output. The Rl-p just takes it up a notch further; sound slightly better with the ability to get louder. While I loved my Alums, I'd go with the Rl-p (I am currently running one, by the way).

And, between the SX and Rl-p, I'd go Rl-p all the way. Sound way better and can get pretty much just as loud as the SX for daily listening.
