Which Sub Upgrade?

Hey everybody. Which do you all think would be a better choice ? A single 12' Alpine type R or Polk Audio db212-2? The Polks have their own box. They will be amped with the Alpine MDR-M605. Welcome all suggestions. Thanks!

I'm going to buck the trend of many likely replies voting for the RRRgh and say given the choices off of that Alpine amp I'd go the Polks if those are the only serious considerations.
