which sub to get (need recommendations)

ok, if i were to get 1 12" sub that i would run with a 150-200 watt (maybe 300) amp in a sealed enclosure.......i want clean sound that gets decently loud (louder than 1 10" ) which 12" would i want of these brands:

jbl (the lower end)

open to any other suggestions or brands

I'm trying to stay between $100-200 with this sub maybe a bit more. Thanks for any info!

Your not the only one looking for 1 12" subwoofer. I will tel you what I told the other guy.. Adire Audio Shiva makes a very nice 12" woofer that would sound very clean in a sealed box.

what the hell is a type E??? i worked at two shops that sell alpine and i have never seen or heard of these??? i know japan and europe have a few subs that we don't get here.....i have seen type r, type s, zr, vr, xr....

There are only two "Type" subs to my knowledge they are Type R and Type S (famous in "The Fast and the Furious"

Type E subs are fairly new. They are Alpine's entry level sub, and are below the R and S models.

and also what do you all think of orion subs and their amps?

now back to my topic: how do the xplods, kendwoods, sound? they loud or just clean sounding?
