Which is the better subwoofer?!

I hear Kicker CVR's are pretty good, what do you think?
Did you read what doesdad and i said? You could go to the subwoofer section and search for cvr's. There is a thread on the first page comparing cvr's to p1's.

For your next thread, decide how much you want to spend, what you are looking for in terms of sound; sq (sound quality), spl (as loud as possible with no concern for quality), or sql (loud but still clear), aswell as how much room you have and how many subs you want. Then go to the sub section and do some reading. After that, ask away explaining a little of what you already know and people will be able to help you much more.

*cough* Read the two posts above yours and take their advice -- use the search function because this exact question gets asked multiple times, daily. *cough*

And no, they're not good. You might as well take everything you hear from your "audio" friends, and throw it out. If you're keeping the setup you have now, the Kenwood is supposed to be better than the Kicker, but if you say that the Kenwood amp(in the same install, ie., on the same subs) isn't as loud, then don't use it.

But, like everyone's said, you can probably sell all of this stuff on Craigslist. I actually sold an old, half-blown(one VC was crapped out) Volfenhag 10" sub on Craigslist a year or so ago for $20. I put blown in the ad, and checked the voice coils for the guy that bought it to make sure he knew what he was getting. You probably shouldn't expect much more than $150. I'd probably put all of that at $200, and see what people offer you.

If you're unable to take the $150 or so that you get from your equipment, and add another $150 for a decent setup(real box, decent amp, decent sub(s)), then just keep what you have and rock on.

Sorry lol I figured since ya'll was here I should ask it was convienent :p Yeah I'm definitely about spl. Idc how nice it sounds, I just want it loud and to rattle things outside of the car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif (figure of speech, that kinda system for take a lot of money lol)

Sigh.... No. I've had a couple sets. So has everyone on here. They do get somewhat loud. That's about all they do. What are you going for anyway? Just want something loud? What part of Texas are you in? My brother in law in Austin is selling a set of 10" Dcons. Now there's some decent starter subs....

I'm going to sell everything. I have 2 volf's in a box, a kicker amp, 2 kenwood subs no box, a kenwood amp, 1 kenwood sub in a single box, and 1 XXX sub with no box. I'm going to take all of that money from those things and put about 100-150$ with it. Wanna give me maybe some estimates on what I should sell all of those things for? It would help me out so I know I'm getting the most I can and not underselling. Right now I'm selling the 2 volfs in the box for 150$.

I actually have that same kenwood amp you have that is a powerful amp @ 4ohms, I was running a Rockford T1 on that one and it was taking it. i will sell that last the sub you might buy might be powered by that amp

i upgraded to a brx 1700.1d and dual skar vvx 15

I can pretty much guarantee you that you are never going to get near $150 for those Volfenhags. I think you could probably buy them at retail pricing for less than that.

Giving you some realistic numbers, partly based on local pricing:

Kicker 250.2 :: $70-75

Ken KAC-7205 :: $70-75

Volf 12" subs :: $40-50 for the pair, $60 with the box

KFC 12" subs :: $70 for the pair

XXX sub(no idea on size) :: $20 if you're lucky

What other Kenwood sub do you have? Is the box ported or sealed?(Same question for the Volf box.)

I sold the volfenhag subs, with a sealed particle wood box, and the kicker amp for 200$. I gave him 25$ off since he bought the whole setup. Should have a guy buying 2 12" kens and the 7204 amp for 135$. I can put another 100 bucks with that so hopefully I can get something better with 435+ bucks.

I had a volf sub years ago it was one of my first subs, funny thing is that i dont ever remeber anything about it other than a fould burnt coil smell and loud rattle after one day of trying to keep up with a puny punch p1...

Damn, I wish I sold stuff where you live. That's an unbelievable price.

And with your new budget, I'm sure you can do much better. First, though, what gauge power wire are you running, what kind of battery do you have up front, have you done the "big three", and what is your alternator rated at? Also, how much room do you want to give up(max width, height, and depth dimensions are great)?

I cant say that running a cvr is a bad idea in your situation, thats what im using for now just because it what i have, and im hitting pretty good for a single cvr, ported and tuned low the thing does its job for the money..
