You can make a 500 watt system sound fantastic with all the right elements and preps.I choped my doors to get the kickers in and people r so new to car audio that they r amazed my such a small system and a 900watt rms sub

Do some reading and look at some installs on some inexpensive ways to prep your doors, and you will get the most out of your speakers, and Imaging, and find the right speakers that you can afford/want to place and run in there for your money. Youd be surprised how much better a door speaker can sound with minimum preps.Tuning is a major key in performance .Some of the speakers Ive mentioned go down to 45 htz on the bottom endThe kicker bottoms out really easily thats y i hate it
Hell, thats a nice old car!! Reminds me of the Nissan Stanza, or a Sterling. That car will run forever if you keep in mainentancedI choped my doors to get the kickers in and people r so new to car audio that they r amazed my such a small system and a 900watt rms sub

You might look as Ive said at some inexpensive insulating door techniques that have been done, on the inner lining ans well as the face..If you are good with wood, cover with your choosing, you can make some nice pods and get those speakers or whatever speakers you choose on axis in which make a huge difference in performance rather than straight stock locations.I think I have two layers of 80 mill on the face of my doors and one layer of 80 mill on the inner face and completely sealed off just in my Honda alone, two ayers of 80 mill on the floor boards and 5/8" foam with the carpet, and I can hear almost nothing of road noise till I hit 75mph,but at a min.My door speakers are like IN MY FACE so to speakI have done sound damping but the speakers just dont like the low notes but the alpines r a beast and even shakes my rear view mirror
I never could get my set of Type R components to sound clean..even with a good old Zed mean Machine 99I have done sound damping but the speakers just dont like the low notes but the alpines r a beast and even shakes my rear view mirror
I agree with you there. They are just lackluster overall, not to loud either. Looking to fiberglass a 10 inch midbass setup soon with mines and say eff it with the stock 6x9 location. Only got these because of their shallow mounting depth due to the neo mags.I never could get my set of Type R components to sound clean..even with a good old Zed mean Machine 99
If you want brighter sounding speakers then go with polksThanks for the help but what should i choose finally id or oolk?
