which is better I'd ctx65 or alpine type r spr-60?

But the PPI is 145 RMS at 4 ohns so the speakers are well over what they are rated at
power rating does not mean a better speaker. Every other aspect as in build quality, driver electro mechanical specs and klippel tests willl tell you what a good speaker is. Stay away from PPI speakers.

The polks are a bit too bright for me personally, i like things a bit warmer sounding. However the guy that i heard the polks in only had a 7 band parametric EQ on his alpine unit. It would depend on what you want sound wise personally. Go audition some speakers first before buying up a storm.

I agree with Jeffdachef..Id go demo some speakers for yourself to make a decision, and find what you like..Best place honestly is at a large car audio show, get some demos from all kinds of installs.

I was talking about the amps power ratings not ppi speakers and the amp might be too powerful for the speakers
No way, Speakers will handle it fine. I'm throwing the full power of that ppi on my type R 6x9 , they handle it completely fine. My electrical is very strong too so i'm bringing full potential out of the amp. As long as you keep the signal clean, any of the choices listed will handle your ppi amp completely fine.

If you up the budget a bit, the polk mm6501 does sound pretty amazing for the price.

I have a PPI 900.4 on a set of Hertz 6.5s rated @75 rms, and a pair of CDT 5.25s rated @100, and they do just fine..Its all about tuning sir, and door preperations to get any speakers best performance..Id rather have too much overhead than not enough to keep that amp running cooler and lasting longer rather than full throttle day in and day out.If your running full blast..dont you think you might need to slow down a bit and take a rest/cool down, or run mild and cool on a daily.

In my country i don't hqv any off the products nor any big car audio shop i order stuff from online audiobaun
Any car audio shows?? You can go there and get some demos from other peoples vehicles, or even from a car audio club/team/teams

Not to mention the passive crossover for these sets does limit some power to the speakers too.

I havent tried the MM6501 components yet..but my old MoMos still sound pretty decent.Id like to run those in my Honda, but not willing to chop up the doors to get them in there

There is no car audio scene in my country its just hamdfull of kids lyk me who know a decent amount about car audio that bring stuff from abroad
Thats a shame man..I love music..Id rather sit and listen to some good car audio all day long than almost anythingelse, and swap and play with different amps and speakers.

You know..You never mentioned what vehicle you are wanting to place these speakers in?

I choped my doors to get the kickers in and people r so new to car audio that they r amazed my such a small system and a 900watt rms sub

Last Kicker series I bought were the KS series, and they did fine for me at the time, went straight to Polk and Kappa afterwards. You will like that 900.4 better
