Hey guys, i have a s-10 extended cab ZR-2. Right now i have 1 L7 12" with 700 RMS going to it in a 2.5 cube ported box. it's loud but i was looking for better sq and maybe a little louder.

i was thinking about going to 2 12" CVR's running eather 400 RMS each or 700 RMS each (Which would be better).

Also if this would not help i think i have enought to run 3 12" CVR's in a ported box and run my amp to 1600 momo. (Can i run 3 subs off one channel?)

Let me know what you think would help me the most. Thanks

Whats the tuning of the box?

I doubt theyll hold 700rms each. 400rms would be about right but 1 l7 would prolly be louder

Yes you can run 3 subs to a mono channel amp. Just have to know how to wire them correctly.

Yeah, what amp is it? Is it stable @ 1 ohm? If it is, get 2 dual 4 ohm subs. If the single 12" isn't working for you, get 2 15's if you can fit them. I had mine on 1200 watts daily and it took it fine so 800 will of course be a breeze. Mine sounded good too and was tuned at 32 Hz.

try looking into 2 RE Audio SX's.

SXs are known for there SQ

Maybe look into a SI mag. its Dual 2 ohm so itll match your amp nicely.

but Id try and work over the box first. Id rather spend 20 for new box then 500 on new subs and still not be happy.

i would get 2 15's but i like rock also and i dont think 15's will keep up.

and the amp is a MA Audio HK 1397. it's a 1600 watt amp. i does 400x2 @ 4ohm stereo, 700x2 @ 2 ohm stereo, and 1600x1 @ 4 ohm Mono....all of thoes are RMS...and no it isnt 1 ohm stable

I think them Ma Audio is rated at 17 volts now 14,or 12 for that matter.

And who said 15s cant keep up????

You just have to find the right ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

my friend said they would not...i like rap dont get me wrong but i like punk/metal also.....

and i have a 16v cap if that helps

Would you get 2 or 3 cvr's or do you think it would help

And 12's or 15's

i use 15's and listen to tons or punk/metal/alternative. there is only one thing better then The fast punch of a double kick drum and that is having that same double kick drum hit you so hard your heart skips lol. my box keeps up with even korn which has tons of fast kicks.

notice i say my box keeps up with it. remember 90% install 10% equipment.

my subs are the so called no sq 06 L7's. i will admit the l7 is not an Sq sub but the people that say it flat out has none and always sounds like poop simple have not owned one and are just jumping on the "trend" train or they did not have a proper install.
