Which is better? CDA-9835 or CDA-9855

I'd take my 9835 over a 9855 over anyday of the week. nG

I actually did that. Wonderful decision. Technically, the 9855 is better with iPod, but the Glide Touch is such a relative PITA to use that I went back to the 9835 and never looked back...at least until I got the W200.

you gonna write a review on the kca ice? on the topic of 35 vs 55, i'd take 35 as i've used it and is the only alpine deck aside from the F1 that i'd swap my pioneer for.

both of them **** ***... and are almost the same... except 9855 has some extra worthless shit

I tried using that adapter and I HATED IT. Too hard to move around in the ipod. I just hooked the ipod up to the aux in on my equalizer and boom, I can control the ipod the way it was built to be controlled. Plus I can hook up anything else with a headphone jack to my car stereo! lol


by the way, I Have the CDA-9847 and I love it. What are the big differences between mine and the 9835?

It's the upgraded type of screen. Black and white, but very easy to read with a much higher resolution.

For the person who said they both **** ***, well, I'd certainly have to disagree, although by no means was the 9835 the end all be all. Just a heck of a lot built in for the money.

While it helps with glare, if you see one in person you'll know why people like it so much. Would I take it over the W200? Hell no, but for a single DIN unit it's very nice.

I've had several other units, including ones from Eclipse, Clarion, and Pioneer... and I still came back to the 9835.

So, I agree with your disagreeance... the 9835 is a GREAT unit. It's not the be all end all, just a great all around unit, easy to use, great features, and my favorite display of any non-video single DIN unit...

ive gotten use to the glidetouch so it aint that bad. the display on the 55 lookes way better than the one on the 35. IMO
