Which is better? CDA-9835 or CDA-9855

I have a 9835 and one of my friends has a 9855. well he is thinking about selling the 9855 and getting a 9835 instead. I really dont know the difference between the two, which is why im asking ya'll. I just know that the 9835 is like one of the best headunits alpine has ever made. What would u guys say about these 2 headunits?

the 9835 has bio lite too, a lot of people would choose the 9835 over the 55 because of the use of the knob over the glide touch, not sayin thats all but I think that's the main difference. I haven't tried the glide touch but using the knob on my 35 I can see how using something similar(other people have said) to a laptop mouse pad would be a lot different from using the knob

IMO the glide touch is alright. I dont hate it, but I dont love it either. You have to make sure you have good contact with the pad. Its similar to an Ipod, just not as sensitive nor consistent due to that.

glide touch works fine... I like it... but I'd prefer a knob

i like a little slob on the knob over ultraglide, but i will stick with the glide.

I'd take my 9835 over a 9855 over anyday of the week. My best friend owns a 9855... and it's just... seems like it's more cheaply built. The layout of the buttons is kind of weird too. The 9855 has the ability of a 7band GEQ or a 5band PEQ... while the 9835 only has 5band PEQ. (Why would you want it any other way tho... heh).

IMHO, the 9835 is the last GREAT HU Alpine built... V-drive internals...slightly better components etc, etc.
