Skipping

Ok right now I have a Panasonic CQ-C1001U headunit and whenever the bass gets loud the cd will start skipping. I'm thinking it's because of the cheap HU. Is there any way I can fix this without buying a new HU cause i'm broke...

Yeah cheaper HU's will start to skip from the Sub vibrations or on washboard roads and stuff. do some research and spend the money on a better one.

Or turn down the bass--but wheres the fun in that?

guys this thread reminds me of something I got 2 friends they both own pioneers HU's and both of those Decks kinda skip. makes me wanna stay away from pioneer HU's.

If you want skipping to stop get a Blaupunkt...At over 153dbs this thing don't skip...

The next thing i'm going to buy is a new HU. Just not sure which one yet. Maybe the Pioneer 880.
