Everything I've heard about Japanese manufacturing says it was high quality.

Japanese manufacturing of small electronics is hardly affordable anymore.

China is the one with a questionable manufacturing reputation. If a company

is willing to engage in setting up and constantly improving processes, it can

get good quality out of Chinese plants.

The older RF was not the newer 2007-2009 lines. RF stuff is half the size with the same power.
