I'd collect more money and get smthing better.

And when it comes to TL - wouldnt buy a model older than 2004.

In range of 10-15 id buy a civic or used BMW 3 series.

My case: Next Year hopefully shooting for 2008 Accord (more affordable), Mercedes C Class or Chevy Camaro 2009 (anybody know how much will they go for and how much will be the SS?)

The TL's are nice cars you cant go wrong with them but you need a little more cash..

My boy just bought this (not this one) for 12 g's with only 60K miles on it. (from a dealer).

6spd or auto. turbo. fast(er). quick. 22-26 MPG.

I voted for the TL. I've read about their ****** failrues too, but MAN are they nice cars.

I'm in the market for a used car right now, and I'm looking for some other peoples opinions. I've narrowed it down to something like a Mazda 6 or an Acura TL cars that I can afford (10-12k), and that get fairly good gas mileage.

Also, I'm looking for something under 75k miles, preferably under 50-60k but I realize that's probably a pipe dream considering my budget.

You go the import route and you will pay a premium.

Go get a Buick LeSabre. They're old folks' cars. They aren't abused. The miles will be low. They don't appeal to car thieves. They get fine MPG, 28-30 on the highway. You have a ton of room. The 3.8 V-6 is as bulletproof and proven a design as you'll find.

You should be able to find one for well under $10K and that savings can go into a KILLER stereo system!

Now if you go with the smallest cars like an Aveo and such, you get 35 MPG. You won't save that much on gas, you'll lose a ton of room, comfort and safety in a crash plus you will pay more for less. Not A Good Idea in my book.

BTW, I got my 1991 Cadillac Brougham with a bit under 72K miles for $2850. I've gotten as high as 27.2 MPG on the highway too! 5.7 (350) V-8's with automatic overdrive rule However as a car for installing a solid SQ system, it sucks...LOL! Still, I have fun

just got me an 06 pontiac G6, 24k miles on it for just under 14k. find one w/ a little higher mileage and you can probably get the price in your range
