Not to start a whole other topic but the engines were Chrysler engines. And the Mitsu engines were actually based off of the Chysler 2.0 design. Even the new Mini's engine borrows from the design. I will say that it would seem the other way around. I was shocked when I found out, I discovered it while searching the net for info about the 2.0 in the Neons (I'm an unfortunate former owner.) But the Chrysler stuff is cheaper.
