Which 5 Channel is next?

I had the Eclipse XA5000. Just sold it today to move on to something new and try new things. I was really after the Image Dynamics I5800.

Here is a list of what Ive come up with:

Image Dynamics I5800

PowerBass ASA1100.5x

Kicker 08 ZX700.5

Infinity Kappa 5

Rockford Fosgate R600-5

JBL GTO 5355

Boston Acoustics GTA1105

Soundstream Rubicon RUB5.800

What other options do I have out there for right around $275 shipped? For what its worth Im leaning towards the I5800. I need something that is around 4-500wrms@2 ohm on the sub channel and something I can turn crossovers off on the front channels for active duty with my 9887.

Not even close. The ones Ive seen are in the $400 range.

Why not the JBL GTO then?

The whole purpose is SQ just in case some people dont know. Pretty sure this rules out the cheap RF amp.

Guess it depends on what you like cosmetic wise. The GTO is plane jane and mid level line, the Kappa is top tier and looks pretty sweet.

The ID amp would be cool and all but since ID is gone, There goes any warranty unless powerbass is going to honor any warranty on ID equipment bought new from authorized dealers.

I should check on that. Ive never run an ID amp, but Ive seen world competition cars do it and I was impressed with my ID subs.

Like Shinju my issue is with warranty. Since Matt and Erik left ID who will warranty it? Does ID and Im screwed or does Powerbass do it since they are supposedly joining?
