Which 3 12s for 1-1.5 cu ft sealed enclosure?

I'm kinda in limbo right now, got a lotta stuff I can use now and replace as I go. My current project is a 70 Impala (fresh 509 ci engine). I just built and mounted a amp enclosure in the trunk and was fixing to start on a sealed 3 12 sub box behind rear seat firewall, up to 1.5 cu ft (ea.)internal usable for 3 drivers, only have 12" height to work with though (gotta save trunk space for slicks, NOS, etc.). For now I have a Boss 4000 amp for subs. I know, Boss bites but it will go down to .5 ohms, lots of power that's plenty clean for subs (for now). Have a 5 farad cap for it and will order a couple 1 farad caps this weekend for my 2 old Carver M-240 amps (bridged mono 150 w. into 4 ohms or 240 w. into 8 ohms? why?) Plan on using these for now for mid bass and hi. Head unit is a new Kenwood KDC-X789. All I currently have for speakers to play with is 2 15in and 2 12in woofers, 4 mids and tweeters all (spare) from 8 ohm SM series home speakers (which rock by the way, that's why I have accumulated all the spare drivers from Ebay). Also have cheap electronic crossover to use trying to make all the 8 ohm mids and tweets work tell I decide what front speakers to buy. Anyway my most current dilemma- I was going to order 3 Audiobahn Alum 12 woofers this weekend (and some amp fans and ducts) for the Boss amp, but after 6 hours of reading all you guys' more educated opinions, I'm wondering if I should order 2 (eventually 3) Brahmas or XXXs. I think I want to stay with 12 in drivers in sealed box(s), so whats my best way to go? I want spl but not willing to give up sq to get it if I can just add more drivers in sealed boxes as needed in future. I can spend $3-550 now and be content building interior for a few weeks before spending more for component speakers and whatever is most needing to replace next. Id love to hear your opinions on all this stuff so by next year I can do wheelies and rock respectably.

What are you looking to get right now? 3-500 will get you 2 xxx/brahmas...if you are lucky.

Are you talkin 1 cu. per driver?

Yes, each. I cant get much taller than 12in the way I'm thinking now but I can go 42 in wide and as much as needed deep (plan on around 18in bottom, 15in top).Got a bunch of 3/4 mdf and some 1/4 plexiglass for whatever. Have hard time finding listings on brahmas and xxx, new info for me.

I've heard the brahmas performs better sealed that the xxx. Never heard a brahma so I couldnt say. I can say my 15 xxxs ealed got dam low and sounded incredible. If I were you I might look into the mag from SI as well... Cant find any price postings on Brahmas. I Emailed some listed dealers from their main website requesting price info but I have nothing to compare their quotes to if they care to return mail to me. Could somebody give me a ballpark number or better yet the best place or person to hook me up.Im jonzing for knowledge, but the more I learn the more I know I don't know you know? No

Just returned from an all night-er at my shop, got as far as I could building me a new sub enclosure. I held off on the face plate cause with only a 12in tall box, too much angle and the magnet hits the floor, not enough and...well I guess Id be routn' the 3/4in sides trying' to fit a 11.5 in. hole in a 12in. square. Still have no idea what 2 brahma 12s will set me back but after finding that "Realmofexcursion" sight for the first time yesterday, that's where I'm pointing, I mean those things have me pointing, if they can do that and still be a good sq spkr I'm stunned. Looks like drivers have gotten a lot longer than the old school stuff I played hard with last time I obsessed with wrenching for tunes not HP. I went to http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/TechPapers/DriverSizes.pdf and its blank, somebody throw a yo-yo ruler on their Brahma so I can finish my sub box. Yea I know I talk a lot when I'm just talkn to myself. I think 2 brahmas in my triple box will make me happy- and have room left to later be silly happy. Ok Ill shut up, somebody give me a measurement and a price!
