i finally got the 10's installed...hooked up to a 350w amp...so its roughly 175wrms to a sub...which is 150wrms

anyways...its in a sealed box...when the trunk is closed the car rattles heavily...i aint got any deadning...dont think i can get any here...

the problem arises when i open the trunk. you dont get the bass u get when the trunk is closed...u only see the subs bouncing...which looks very cool BTW...

is this supposed to happen when i open the trunk?

if not then whats the prob?

my trunk dosnt do that wen i had the 15xxx and the 2 12s ive had. it jus was loud and felt really good. but when i went to a single w7 it was really quiet and alot of moving. So i ono

thats true...but when i wanna listen to a song from outside the car i would wanna open the trunk cause when its closed it rattles like a mother...but not as much when opened

I would think if you have them in the proper enclosure they should get louder when you open the trunk. Kinda like in a truck when you let the windows down.

My sub doesnt get louder when I open the trunk, it depends on the build of the car mainly, and placement of the sub...

And putting the windows down in just about any vehicle will make bass seem louder.

yeah but yours doesn't lose volume and your sub doesn't bounce around sporadically like he said his does. Because you have the proper enclosure for your sub. That was why I ask about his box being right.

your subs don't have any thing to fire aginst and the just move and some subs are different then authors so one may sound awsome when the trunk open and closed and different one may sound like there is nothing there just movement so it is mainly the subs and enclosure
