which 12s or 15

i am looking to get some subs that will get really loud, great bass, but still have good sq.. i can fit 1 15 or 2 12s and they will be ported or maybe sealed for space(have about 8 cu. ft but might not want to use all)...i am getting the amp based on which subs i get and i have around 400 or so for the subs.. so far i was looking at:

2 12" SI BM's

1 15" L7

1 15" FI Q series

1 15" FI BTL series

1 15" tc-3000

or any 2 12"s of the subs above based on price.. would 1 15 or 2 12 be better?. and if you have any other suggestions.

2 12's would get louder. More cone area.

If you wanna go loud, I would get 2 fully loaded BTL's.

BM's get crazy loud and sound amazing doing it. L7's just get loud, with some SQ, but not a ton of it.

If it were between the l7 and btl, I'd go for the BTL. Be original //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And besides, a BTL took 10k watts of power, and wasnt damaged by the power ( just by the cone slamming down on something or another )

i wont be able to afford 2 btl's so it would be between 1 15 btl 1 15 L7 or 2 12 BM or 2 12 L7

I have a Q 15'' and its louder than my friends 2 rockford fosgate punch hx2 with 1200rms, after he heard mine he whants to sell his stuff a get some fi subs. This sub keeps getting louder as it loosens up on only 600rms and sounds nice.

yea i think iam going to get 1 15 Q and an amp for now and then in a few months when i get more money maybe get another with another amp.. or i will just get 2 BM's..... what amp would would be good for one 15 Q or how many watts can it handle

Anything thats around 1000rms also mine gets loud off only 600 i'm very happy so far

dont they come in like dual 1 or 2 ohm?? how would i wire them and what ohm would i want the amp??

yes they come in dual 2 and 1 if your running one use the dual 2 because 1ohm stable amps are more common and wire the sub parallel for a 1ohm load.

alright thanx.. so would a hifonics bxi-1206D 1200 rms be too much or no.. and does anyone know how the Q will compare to an L7 or alpine type r or any other best buy subs, besides all the variables like box and amp and stuff, because thats what everyone i know has..

It depends on the install but the Q should be just as loud and sound better and for the type r i'm not to sure on how they compare. The 1206 will be a nice match.

One ported could get as loud but sealed will be better for SQ most of the time. Haven't really heard the bm's but i think they only come in 12'' its kind of hard to compare a diiferent size sub.

15 mag ported

15 L7 ported

2 15 FI Q sealed

2 12 L7 ported

2 12 SI BM ported

or other suggestions

all of these with amp based on subs and with ideal box...and will be in a nissan pathfinder if that matters

the reason i ask is because i have never heard any of these and dont know how to compare them.. any suggestions will help
