Where to get dynamat cheap? Sound dead or amp for highs?

I found a trunk kit at carmedia1.com for $69 that comes with 12 sp feet of original, 4 sq feet or premium, and 4 sq feet of extreme. Is this a good price or can I find it cheaper somewhere else? Also, for those of you who have sound deadened, does applying this material yield significant or subtle positive results?

I currently am running Infinity 605cs comps off my deck and an Alpine R 12" sub powered by a JBL 600.1 Which would be money better spent: $80

on sound deadening material or $80 on an average 2 channel amp for my comps?

I found my dynamat on http://www.ubid.com . I got as much as I could afford when I ordered it, but I think it came out to like $45 per trunk kit, plus shipping...whis is the cheapest i've seen it, besides getting it free from friends.
