naw, vans are a dime a dozen. If I were doing something large where space may be an issue I'd have the van first. But 4 or 6 15's will fit in any van out there.. What I am having a hard time finding is viper amps though... no more at ike sound and none on ebay, and I've checked all the classfied sections of the major online forums.. nothing... (viper 2500's)

I actually wanted to go with the 4 15's because they would be less expensive. (being I have the 4 already) 6 15's gives me room to grow though so it's still up in the air in all honestly. But after plotting both setups in the software I'm surprised there was'nt more gain with the 6 15's. (the 15's btw are kicker L7's the silver coned 05's)

It's Ironic that you say I'm a newb, yet your suggestion to being louder is a single 18 on 2k watts when I have 4 15's already?????

I wanted thoughts and suggestions on which would be louder on a budget and it is 4 15's on 2 amps. (not by much, less than 1db difference) I'm still debating, and EVERYONES suggestions are appreciated.... 4 15's maybe the way to go...

no, i suggested a single 18 on 2k watts WITH sound-deadening. you're a noob cuz you're implying off the bat that 4 15's will automatically be louder than 1 18 that's sound-deadened up the ***? i could've swore someone on this board mentioned something about someone who's got a single sub setup that is doing a ridiculous decibel reading and im wiling to bet a hundred dollars whatever that reading is, is more than what your setup will produce. with that in mind, yes, you are a noob for implying that 4 15's will be louder than any single-sub setup. it might be true in MOST cases, but it isnt true in all cases. therefore, your theory is flawed.
