actually no, gain at about half and boost at 4DB out of 12DB. had the audio shop set it up because the amp is rated at 1100W bridged 550W one chanel at 4 ohm and the sub is only rated at 300W, its a JL 10W0. ive had the sub play WAY louder than that before and it sounded nice and clean. but it blows at less than half of what it has been at?? i dont get it....

I would go tell them they fuked up and make them replace it and check everything. When they set it up they should do it so they equipment doesnt get damaged at any volume level. Sounds like an amature installer. I would think that just because you have 1000 watts, doesnt mean you will always get 1000 watts. There are ways to control that.... that gain would have been almost completely down. Why did you get that amp?

well, aparently everythings fine.... took the amp and the sub to the shop i got it at, they checked everything, and everything worked fine. checked the RCA's and good imput. checked the power and ground and everything worked... put everything back in and everything works. we couldnt figure out what happened but nothing is broken.

well i thought everything was fine.... system played amazing, had no problems. i get in the car this morning and nothing. amp doesnt turn on. i turn the car off, pul the key out of the inition and the freaking radio doesnt auto-off like its supposed too!! took the back panel of the amp off and everything looks fine, almoast new. i have power, i have ground, i have RCA signal, WTF?!?
