When is cold too cold to slam subs?

Just as title asks. About what temp will cause damage to subs?... Just got new Zcon and don't need to damage it this winter in Colorado where it can get pretty cold at times.

Play half volume for a min to loosen spiders up and warm them up and then u can hammer. That's what I do.

That's what I usually do that but wanted to ask cause those Zcons are really stiff. Especially right now brand new

So has anybody actually ever broken woofers from playing them when they're "too cold"? If so what actually breaks? This topic comes up every winter and it seems like a lot of hocus pocus to me.

I'm scared condensation will form inside the amp and damage it. I think it would be wise to just take the system out for the winter. it sux, but it will probably extend the equipment life.
