When is cold too cold to slam subs?

So has anybody actually ever broken woofers from playing them when they're "too cold"? If so what actually breaks? This topic comes up every winter and it seems like a lot of hocus pocus to me.

I'm scared condensation will form inside the amp and damage it. I think it would be wise to just take the system out for the winter. it sux, but it will probably extend the equipment life.

I wanna have a dedicated "winter" system. Windows will be up anyway, so I don't need it to be as loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
