whats your view on eDead sound deadener?

it's not about brand nuthugging. It's about the correct and effective use of deadener. I don't link people to SDS to tell them to buy their products. It's so people can read the quality info that's offered on that site. If SDS products is purchased, than that's just a nice side-effect, because they're good peoples.
well i do appreciate your time. i just wish people would stick to the question. read my last post, kinda lengthy. but its how i feel about this site

do not get hung up in sq ft, I know its hard as thats how you buy it.
Personally Raamat is way better then 2 layers of eDead.

If you buy eDead your going to have to use multiple layers and cover everything. If you use other then you only need 1 layer in specific spots.

So you pay less and have to do 2x as much work installing it, but your really not paying less since you dont need to cover everything with a better product
awesome. have you ever used the edead or known anyone who has? is there a downfall to multi layers other than it taking up space?

true. have a better test proving im wrong? show me your video then of before after with x brand vs your nuthugging favorite brand.
oh wait, how about we just stick to answering my question. review on edead. already have done an entire car with second skin. overpriced. works great. not looking for something that works that well for this cheap *** car. did you ever take that into consideration? done a fairlane with damplifier too. overpriced. works well.

now i am looking for reviews on the cheap edead. which everyone but 2 people seem to be having trouble answering.

hell seriously everyone, lets just post the best sub/amp/headunit/sound deadener there is as a sticky. that way next time joe blow is asking about a product that is "not the best" you guys can link him to the sticky. because god knows we can all afford the best and shouldnt ask about anything but the best. whats that? he wants a review on a type r sub??? lets tell him every sub that is better EXCEPT the sub he is interested in. no reason to settle for 2nd, we should all own the best! next time you go buy a microwave, make sure you do your research and buy the most expensive best one there is, i mean afterall, dont ask anyone about the quality of that specific model/product because there are clearly better ones out there and its just stupid not to own the best. duh!
I dont need a test Ive read info from SDS and SS about the proper use of Sound Deadener and how to apply it as well as other tutorials here. Its not about nuthugging. Its about choosing the best product to get the job done properly.

I can see why everyone complains about the N00bs. All ******** retarded and shit

#1 that video was what's call a COMPARISON TEST. not an actual test to check real world results. where is anybody's common sense?

#2 the problem with most (not all) of the ppl on this site is THEY DON'T ACTUALLY READ THE ORIGINAL POST. why that is? hell if i know all they read is AMP SUBS DOOR SPEAKERS DEADNER and boom out comes the #1 answer. they don't look at a situation and troubleshoot anything.

with this being said, i've never used anykind so i cant help sorry.

Back on topic.... I've used the eDead 45. The $1/sq foot stuff on Amazon and its a good product. Just bought it 2 weeks ago. It works well, especially for the price. Local shop wanted $80 for a "door" kit, 4 sheets of Dynamat - I don't think so!

I have also bought the cheap stuff that comes in the big rolls on Ebay that looks like peel and seal. The eDead is DEFINITELY better than the cheaper no-name stuff I got off Ebay. I would avoid the no-name stuff. The eDead is a LOT more flexible, stickier, and an overall better product than the no-name.

Just my 2 cents...

I did buy some eDead 45 and it was junk IMO, not worth the money. I also bought some Raamat and it was just as expected.

Trust me you will have to cover everything 2-3times with eDead 45(thats what I did), which doesnt seem like that big of deal but if your doing hard to reach places, like doors ect.. its quickly takes too much time and is a PITA.

Dont even listen to guy above me eDead 45 is junk, its too thin and worthless. Like I said your going to have to buy 2x as much and do 2x as much work to get the same resluts of Raamat(or SS or Dynomat)

A single roll of Raamat will do a whole smaller car if you place it strategically

awesome, im considering trying it. i have 2 of the same vehicle, one is my brothers. and i think we are going to do his with the edead and im going to run second skin or damplifier in mine. before and after tests for BOTH vehicles then im posting the videos on here with the results of a calculated %. how much quieter the edead made the car, how much quieter the ss made the car. probably do a test with 1 layer edead, then 2 layers edead in the wheel well area and see if it makes a difference.

and thank you for sticking to the question! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

awesome, thanks for sticking to the topic. think im going to run a test myself as i just posted in my last post.

double layers is like double dribbling.

double layers vs 9 times the price though. thats why i was asking this question in the first place. strictly from a +ev standpoint:

edead 1$ per sq ft

dynamat 7.80$ per sq ft

1/7.80= 12.8% of the cost

if edead works more effeciently than 12.8% technically its +ev. but then you take into consideration of layers. how many layers do you need of edead to = dynamat. ect. my guess would be edead is only 25-40% as effective as dynamat and therefore makes it have a HUGE +ev because even with dual layers you are getting 50-80% of what dynamat is for 25.6% of the cost. sure it will take a little more time than running a single layer, but its not like i have anything better to do. im knee deep studying medical books all day and need something to keep me busy during my off time to retain my sanity anyways.
