What's up with DSR1 being "out of stock" everywhere?

sooooooo, i guess all the people who tune with pink noise and always have been doing so, and always will are just doing it wrong
my last pioneer was a decent unit but **** the processor ******.

FYI you guys assume i didn't/don't use pink noise. i did but its not the end all. actually LISTING to music and tuning with your EARS as well is what amkes a good sounding system...

So we all are doing it wrong? Nope.

what does crossover have to do with finding noise/distortion issues and using test tones.
when you understand how a drivers reproduce multiple tones you will understand that eliminating variables to identify problems is the only real way to do so.
the crossovers comment was in response to your statement about asking a driver to play a full range of pink noise. Especially if youre going active, then that problem is eliminated

sure you use crossovers but the point is you are playing multiple tones. the driver is trying to play more than one signal at one time.

that is kinda what music does. music doesnt play test tones. I will say that i agree with something you said a little while back, get a good flat starting point with pink noise, then fine tune with your ears

so when you want me to explain why its not a good idea to do strictly pink noise let me know...

Just read the link. Google how to tune. There are videos.

Some automatics use sweeps but they are reading the sweep super fast. When tuning with a RTA you use noise. Band limited pink noise.

Don’t believe me. Ask ANY tuner.

read on how a driver plays more than one signal then we can talk about tuning. I'm not a pro tuner. i just use the scientific theory and LOGIC when doing things.

Yes a driver plays more then one frequency. That’s why you use full spectrum.

You can go argue with others. I’m done here.

I only use noise. Once the sides are matched and the curve is set I’ve never needed to touch it.

But some folks don’t want it true to the source so you can go in and warm up the mid bass, add some air.
the pink noise gets it as close as mechanically possible to the source, but yeah, i do like to add or subtract from here and there to warm it up a tad

you not 0 about loudspeakers. seriously. i bet your **** sound DULL. otherwise you would be winning..

yet no one seems to understand hearing sensitivity.
