whats this dang wire do?

im almost done re wiring my HU, and i cant remember what this wire does... theirs no diagram anywhere on line for it either.

heres a pic.

its in a 2000 toyota celica gt.

its pissin me off.

its the blue wire with the double loop?

no labling on it either.

yeah, theirs blue white from hu, and blue from the harness. i have neither a power antenna nor a use for the remote. time to tape off.

my factory ground is touchy. so i created a second ground for the HU. it wont have another grounding issue. thats all.

Off topic here, but I'm doing my first install in my 2000 Celica GTS. Where did you put fuse holders? I'm having trouble finding room. Also, a good place to run 4 gauge power wire from?

i have a top strut bar so it was dificult as well with it holding the battery down practically.

i ran the 6 gauge wire (before i went 0 gauge,

through the left side port in the fire wall. if your facing the hood area.

when i went 0 gauge, i went from battery under body, to under seat, drilled hole, from under seat and carpet to along the rear seat/rear speaker panel to trunk.

I think I'm kind of stuck with the battery staying under the hood. Any recommendations for fuse holder locations under the hood?

To answer your question OP, that blue wire is for the factory amplifier on the models that had them installed. If I am not mistaken they used the same harness for both the amplified and non amplified so you may have no use for it whatsoever
